A tasty cake!

A pound cake by any other name . . . delectable, delicious, diet-buster! As I understand it, the pound cake got its name because all the main ingredients required were to weigh 1 pound - 1lb eggs, 1lb flour, etc. I think that's been modified over time but the name stuck. Sadly, this cake is outward bound. My wife baked it for a reception following a funeral service later this morning so, I'll not likely get a taste. No matter though I've had my share of this delight over the years - I sleep with the baker!!
