~ALS Walk~
Today Vicki and I did the ALS walk down at the harbor. It was an absolutely beautiful day for our walk. We all raised money to help in finding a cure for ALS. Lou Gehrig's Disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of an ALS patient averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis.
This crippling disease can strike anyone. So I was happy to be a part of this group of people trying to help.
As far as my picture it was either this clown or the backside of the walkers in front of us. I think this was the better choice.
