Scrambling up Breakneck Ridge
Described as a "butt kicker" in my hiking book I was looking forward to the challenge of scaling Breakneck Ridge just north of Cold Spring in Putnam County, New York. This shot was taken about 1/4 of the way to the top of the Ridge and is looking back down the Hudson River.
It was a great training day taking just over 6 hours. No bear or snake sightings and just 7 or 8 people on the trek so a day of solitude.
