Frog or toad?

We went out to a friend's house for a cream tea this afternoon and there was an extra teeny weeny visitor. Not sure whether it's a toad or a frog? I photographed him on my hand to give him some context and didn't have the lens I'd usually use for this sort of thing with me. Pretty pleased with this though - taken on my 35mm. Any expert knowledge on what species he/she is would be much appreciated.
