Second Crop
I wonder if our Indian Summer will return to ripen these strawberries, the second crop of the season, it would be nice to think it did. After thunderstorms in the early hours we have had rain on and off all day, the gardens did need it, and the temperatures have gone down by 8 degrees centigrade since yesterday.
I took my little grandson for his swimming lesson this morning as his mum and dad were both working. It was such a treat to spend time with him and see how he has come on leaps and bounds since I last saw him swim. He's now polishing up for his gold badge, for which I am very proud. In November he goes for his purple belt in kick boxing and what with playing rugby with the Under Elevens at Ipswich Rugby Club he is a busy ten year old and enjoying every minute of it. In his 'spare' time he loves to get out on his bike around the village where they live.
