Stokesley Show

We had an early start this morning as we had to be at the showfield before 8 am to recieve all the entries for the photographic competition. Until 10 am a team of 6 of us were franticly collating the entries and putting them on the stands ready for judging.

This year it was my turn to judge the competition and by 11 am it was all judged and we were waiting for the marquee to be opened to the public. No doubt there were a few disappointed entrants but there can only be one winner in each class.

Apart from a lunch break we spent the whole day in this marquee as we were also stewarding the exhibition. So all I saw were the crafts, baking, jams and painting sections. One of these days it would be nice to see the whole show! Oh, the perils of being on the committee.

It's now just after 6 pm and we are off to the pub for a meal then I'm sure it will be an early night. I will have to catch up with my comments tomorrow.
