Waterfalls

I thought I would try my hand at waterfalls today and so headed off to Great Falls on the Potomac early this morning. I ran into a few challenges. I couldn’t’ get close to any of the falls, and most of them I had to look down on. When the river is running high, which it wasn’t today, lots of additional falls are created through the rocks on and around Olmstead Island. I think the best time to try this again will be after considerable rain. This particular shot is of some spillover at one of the locks on the C&O Canal which runs next to the river.
