Going home
I never think a week is long enough to spend in a holiday cottage and certainly not when it is so well appointed as was this one in Sandend.
Just as we have settled in, it's time to pack up and leave.
It was hard to say farewell this morning to Sandend and the sea just outside our windows as we started the journey south.
Last night we had a lovely anniversary meal in a restaurant at the harbour of the nearby fishing village of Whitehills - lemon sole stuffed with salmon mousse was the main course we both chose, as if to prove how united we are even in meal choice.
Tonight, we have an empty larder and little inspiration as yet.
The blip was taken from the start of a path above the village which goes along the coast to Findlater Castle.
