Two Tui

I glanced out the window just in time to see this pair at the feeder. They have been very hard to capture lately so I snapped this through the glass and crossed my fingers the window wasn't too dirty.

Easy to pick the male bird here - the big bossy one who is having first go at the sugar syrup. Women's rights have not reached the tui world yet.

I am fairly sure this pair are breeding as I haven't seen the mum for a while. I suspect the chicks are now hatched and it wont be long before they will also appear at the feeder .

Makes a change from pukeko chicks:)
