Poetic Edinburgh

It's Carry a Poem time in Edinburgh, and I went down to the Parliament poetry wall to try to take a close-up of the piece of versethat I wanted to carry as my poem. There are many poems which have resonated with me through the years, but when I read this one this week it seemed to sum up how I have been feeling about this country which is my home.
