"All the loose ends of Scotland..."
Pilgrimage. George Wyllie's Stones of Scotland and the Scottish Parliament.
A place of vigil and hope.
A shouting place but I have no voice.
And despite Hugh MacDiarmid's words etched into the circle, I'm finding it impossible to identify myself with large parts of Scotland today.
"So I have gathered unto myself
All the loose ends of Scotland,
And by naming them and accepting them
Loving them and identifying myself with them,
Attempt to express the whole."
