Spotted In A Local Gardens and Nursery

It was my brother's birthday today and my husband, brother and myself had a nice meal at a local restaurant that overlooks a marina.

We then went onto Beth Chatto Gardens and Nursery. Whilst we were finishing our cream tea, my husband spotted this unusal plant, that looked good with the sun behind it.

Although I took a number of images during our visit, I will make this my image of the day.

No idea what the plant is though ??
