Galloway hills

Charlie, Fred and I went camping in Galloway Forest on Tuesday eve. I was blown away by how beautiful they are and by how deserted they are. Once we left Loch Trool we saw absolutely no one until we returned the next day. We climbed Merrick and set up camp not far from the top. Later, on full bellies of stir fry, chocolate and wine, we watched the stars and chatted. The next day was bright sunshine and we headed back down, had lunch on the sands on the loch and a quick swim in another. What a wonderful little undiscovered corner of Scotland.
