A Scottish friend in Phnom Penh had a gathering for some pals to mark the day of the Scottish election result. There were Union Jack and Scotland flag cupcakes to celebrate any eventuality. Good result all round as far as I am concerned.

Nice to see such high turnout. I'm going to do whatever necessary to get an overseas postal vote in next year's general election. What I find interesting about this Scottish vote is that given the 10% margin and the fact that all English people there are likely to have voted no, the number of Scots voting 'yes' was probably a majority.
