Danish decor

ON our last full day in Denmark we went round the shops of Ribe. I was very tempted buy some of the large Lego sets but they aren't very practical on the bike. Instead we found a shop selling tourist stuff, some of it was very nice and some of it was tat, and being Denmark none of it was cheap. In the end my better half found some small (easy to transport by bike), cute glass things that could be hung from Christmas trees.

Tonight's (back)-blip is a macro close up of one of the glass ornaments. It had to be this as my evening was swallowed up with a monster Parish Council meeting dominated by rumours of house building on one of the larger more visible fields that comes into the village. I just wish that people would make their feelings felt to the authorities that count in planning matters, the Parish Council can say what we like but it's the Borough that make the decision and if the developer doesn't like it then can keep appealing until Mr Pickles gives them what they want...
