New Street Edinburgh

In the heart of the old town, semi-derelict, the subject of planning blight and much heated debate here...the "Caltongate" debacle. The building on the horizon is the old Royal High School which has lain empty for more than 40 years and was once touted as a possible Scottish Parliament building. Plans to create a five-star hotel there are set to be revived.
