at home with an Ivysaurus

Thirsty work

We went to playgroup this morning, Ivy has a great time playing in the dried pasta and feeding her grapes to the boy next to her (after stealing his breadstick instead). He looked like a little toddler roman emperor. When stuff was getting packed up though, Ivy seemed to get a bit worried she was going to forgotten about.

In the afternoon, we went to see Katy. Ivy managed to say 'Kateee' before we left the house, she's very good with names. At Katy's she found a crochet'd square of the softest wool I have ever seen that Katy had made and became slightly attached to it- so Katy said she could have it. Which is good, becasue i'm not convinced Ivy would have liked to leave it behind. She held it against her face most of the way home. I tried to get a good picture of Ivy and Seb next to each other for size comparison, but trying to get two active babies to coperate it nearly impossible- even when you give them both bannana to eat.

When Euan came home we went up to the allotment to harvest some HUGE tomatoes to make a sauce for dinner. I shoved them in the pressure cooker with some seasoning- it tasted AMAZING, but it turned out most of the size of the tomatoes was water and when I opened the pressure cooker it was like dishwater. Served it with a slotted spoon, so it wasn't too bad. Worth it for the taste I think though.

Euan went out after Ivy was in bed to a meeting about the radio show he's doing tomorrow, so I won't get to watch the Great British Bake off till the weekend.

The upstairs hall smells nicely Malty, thanks to Euan's fermenting beer.
