This is not the end...

..This is not even the beginning of the end.
It is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.

Crowds are gathered outside the scottish parliament. The polling stations have closed and there's absolutely nothing further to do except await the counting.

Strange to think that whatever the result, it seems like at least 40% of people will have voted against whatever the outcome is. There have been compelling points made by both sides, and some other persuasive reasons not to be convinced by them. Scotland will continue, whether as an individual nation or as part of the United Kingdom. We hope and pray that whichever case happens this will be a change for the better, and as a Christian I can take comfort in being able to rely on God to work throughout Scotland and her people. Even saying no to independence will not mean a return to the old - so many people have spoken and there will be a desperate need for some things to change.

Whatever the vote counters reveal, tomorrow morning we will awaken to a new and different country.
