YES! The Squirrel has landed

Mum & I, and our suitably attired little squirrel friend, Squizzey McSquizzey, have been in three countries today.

We drove up through Wales this morning, and the autumnal colours looked beautiful in the September sunlight.

We crossed over into England and headed for THE NORTH where it got all misty and ethereal as we passed the Cumbrian hills.

Then finally, we crossed the border into Scotland and stopped to take this photo in Biggar.

There were lots of people on the streets, excitedly heading off to vote or coming back from doing so, standing in groups, talking about today's referendum with friends. There was a real buzz in the town.*

We left Biggar and slowly made our way through some cracking Scotch mist to reach Edinburgh, where we're staying with friends for the weekend before heading further north again on Monday.
