Pigs eat veg
This is probably the only photograph that will ever be made public of both giant pigs and giant veg hanging together in Abergavenny Market Hall! The veg come down as the pigs go up. when I popped in, Nigel was up on the cherry picker, tying some very secure knots, and Mike, one of the Market Hall staff, was holding the end of the rope that was keeping the Gloucester Old Spot aloft while the knots were tied. Very important job! I was relieved to see that the British Lop, which is certainly the heaviest of the pigs we've made, was already up and seemed inclined to stay up. It would be seriously bad news if she fell down!
And now, we wait for tomorrow morning, when not only will Scotland's fate be known, but the pigs will be all up, and we will congregate to celebrate their arrival with bacon butties!
