Borderline
This image is not intended to show the way I have voted in today’s momentous vote for Scotland’s future and the consequences after 307 years of union for the United Kingdom.
As we crossed the border at Carter Bar I wondered what the foreign tourists taking photos thought of the nearby Yes and No posters and if they realised that today is a historic day. The Saltire flag fluttering in the wind prompted me to think of those people who were still unsure of the way to vote. The beautiful scenery was obscured by the thick mist reminding me that at the moment the way ahead for Scotland is uncertain but hopefully soon the future will be clear and bright with the opposing camps working in harmony.
