65 is a big number

Today is my birthday. It was very kind of Alex Salmond to commemorate my 65 years on earth with a wee diversion to take my mind off it.

40 years ago this grumpy looking guy set out on a journey that officially ended today when I retired from working life. I'd like to think a new chapter in my life has just begun but I'm not sure how many pages it's going to run to or whether or not I'll be doing it in an independent Scotland.

One thing hasn't changed though, I'm still grumpy.
