Big day for Scotland

And even here in the far north of Iceland, someone has felt the need to let us know he/she would be voting "YES" at the polls. Those little stickers could be seen throughout the center of Akureyri. On my way home from work I stopped at the town hall to have a chat with the supervisor of the building and grounds, who was outside cleaning up a big "mess" of those "YES"-stickers around the front entrance. While we talked about the Scottish independence referendum and this big decision in the history of Scotland, we soon found out we would both have voted "yes" if we were Scottish. But we'll soon find out...

I'm going to see a movie in the afternoon and tonight it's annual general meeting in Freyvangsleikhúsið.
