The Big Day

All was quiet and peaceful in Drymen Square this morning on this historic day as people made their way to the polling station to vote for or against Scottish independence.

The dignified 'No, Thanks' placard contrasted significantly with the garish, attention-seeking, balloon-bedecked bus of the 'Yes' brigade.

Rumours that the coach had secreted folk in from foreign parts specifically to vote Yes were totally unfounded. They turned out to be Dutch tourists heading for the adjacent Winnock Hotel.
