Yes Vote time

Today the residents of Scotland are voting on whether to be independent of the UK or not. The people did not have a voice in becoming part of the UK so it is going to be extremely interesting to see what the outcome of this vote will be. By flying the Saltire outside my house, I show my support for those voting yes. My sister in Skye will be voting yes. My parents in Orkney will be voting yes.

I was thinking of my Scottish heritage this morning and thought I would look about my house, without opening drawers etc and see what I have visible that shows this heritage. This top on a trinket container. My thistle wall vase. Can't leave out my highland cow and lamb!

In my kitchen I have these salt & pepper that once belonged to my grandfather's cousin. I bought these guys in Orkney along this mug.

Noup Head Lighthouse is on my hallway wall and this fun can of mist is on a shelf in my kitchen. It's been there about 15 years now!

With the time zone difference, I am watching how the vote goes anxiously.
