Amongst the reflections is the wheel chair lift access to the Central Library at work. Nice to photograph a bit of campus architecture again.

Look carefully

Carpet resolution today. I know what insurance will pay for. Unfortunately there isn't really a cash settlement offer, only indemnity and that is bugger all. So I have to make the carpet option work. Oh, and cough up yet another $300 excess. In time I might have that refunded, it all depends on how successful my insurance co is in recovering the difference they're paying between indemnity and replacement carpet for downstairs and the stairs.

A lot worse has happened or is happening to others.

I forgot I own a lovely dressing table. I haven't seen it for 4 months and I've adapted to the boxes in one corner of my room. I was surprised by the call to tell me it's fixed (another water damage victim).

And the new replacement curtains are ready. All of which means I'm slowly getting there on the home front.

The fisher/hunter helped me get the last of the shelves back up in the loft. Maybe they're a bit higher than before but they'll be fine. I might be able to sort a few things onto them in the weekend.

But really I'm hanging out for the mountains. We'll see. I busted myself again with that new strength, flexibility and balance programme. But it will help me in the mountains (and help my foot and ankle through the last stage of rehabilitation).

I've got a bit of time off work tomorrow afternoon so I can go and choose carpet samples. The carpet guy will drop off what I chose on his way home from work so I can ride my bike to the store. Nice eh :-)
