Dusk Departure

One of the largest cruise liners in the world ventured slowly up our river this morning and berthed in Greenock. The Royal Princess dwarfed the waterfront a floating community no less. She had a stop over to allow her guests to venture to various points, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Loch Lomond I believe. I am sure they will have enjoyed out beautiful land and I hope they were not accosted by those campaigning for one or other side of the referendum.

She slipped her lines a little after six this evening, and seemed to tread water as if reluctant to leave this beautiful place. I was a long way up river and had no real intention of shooting her at all but I got a lovely view of her against the dipping sun. She eventually slipped gently down the river almost like a ghost ship in the haze, finally gone, a brief stop in Belfast tomorrow morning and then New York

I hope you enjoy seeing her
