Hook

This is the end of the steel measuring tape I inherited from my great-grandfather. I used it the other day when measuring the new place. It's one of the coolest things I own, complete with a little red label: "E.W. Kind". The company that made it was absorbed into a big corporation in 1967. And it works better than any other tape measure in the house.

Today included:
listening to the house inspector,
the great spanakopita experiment,
the city council meeting on public access TV,
hanging out with Illya,
emergency crackers,
an overdue e-mail,
and
lots of projects.
