The Third "Generation" Head

This links to my blips of 20th and 28th August (here and here), each of which showed one of the three sculpture heads forming the installation "Generation" by Joseph Hillier. They are situated on the Student Forum area at Newcastle University campus.

This one is made of steel, and I understand it harks back to the days of the industrial revolution. The triangular components however "look" back further than that into the long history of mathematics.
