A quick walk from Parliament & Gerrard to the beauty supply store at Bay & Dundas, I'm out of my favourite hair masque. I keep saying I'm writing my diss but for the last six weeks I've been tasking myself out to conferences, favours and little video production & training contracts that actually cost me more than they pay. At the ad agency where I used to work, I once overheard the big cheeses rationalizing us art directors' crappy wage: "yeaaahh, 'cuz, y'know those creatives aren't driven by money."
