No view

I drove to one of the high points of the village where there is a long view north-east towards London. Sometimes you can see the London skyline and I was hoping for a good blip, but today is overcast and heavy and there was no view at all. I walked a little way and spotted these cyclamen beside the path, in an area where the brambles had been cut back. How on earth did they get there?
The garden is very dry. We have had no appreciable rain for ages. I keep all my pots watered but the wider garden is looking rather parched. Even though the garden needs rain, with my sister coming this weekend and a special outdoor occasion on Monday, I am hoping it stays dry for a little while longer.
