The culture of Kawaii

Spotted in a very exclusive department store, this was a blip waiting to happen. Sadly you can't see the two cuddly chipmunks peering out of a cross body bag carried at the front.

Anywhere else in the world and this middle aged eccentric (I'm being generous here) would probably be viewed as a candidate for care in the community. Here in Japan she is simply considered to be Kawaii or cute!

I'd rather be a little weird than all boring.
