A Delicate Evening

I drove up the coast this afternoon..there were no clouds in the sky..or just a few here and there so it surprised me my desire to drive all that way rather than down to the river......I mean I would travel for ages to get some fabulous clouds ...very little exception....but as I said there were none.

After hanging up on the headland for some time I realised that the most fabulous thing about this evening that there were no clouds......my attention was taken to more delicate things and watching the subtle change of light and delicate colors.

I needed to eke out my blip from the landscape and I soon realised that I often go for the dramatic......and tonight there was no dramatic.........it really was very lovely though when I just looked that little bit deeper.

“They cannot scare me with their empty spaces
Between stars—on stars where no human race is.
I have it in me so much nearer home
To scare myself with my own desert places.”
