The Savoy!

What a great night!

Left to right my Agent and friend of 20+ years (for advertising/tv and film who set up the Gravity Soundtrack for me) Christine Poundford, Lisa Hull who is so nice and an amazing singer, Robert Lindsay who I am a long time fan of and was so excited to meet at last, me :-) and the lovely Rosemarie Ford - Robert's wife and sister of Christine. As I said I've known Christine for many years and have heard so much about Rosemarie and family over that time so it was great to finally meet her and Robert and Lisa who I also met for the first time at the Savoy!

Robert is starring in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels at the Savoy, tonight Bonnie Langford and Gary Wilmot joined the cast, you would never have known it was their first night, they were both excellent, I am a big fan of the movie and I was interested to see how the Musical would differ, the plot was basically the same but some characters have bigger parts in the Musical such as the Police Chief and Muriel Eubanks. It was a great Production, the sets were amazing and in keeping with the Art Deco ambience of the Savoy Theatre, Robert was very funny and oozed charm and charisma, it was my first visit to The Savoy Theatre, it's a lovely size and we were very lucky to be in the Stalls in Row F so had a perfect view.

After the show we went to Robert's dressing room and had wine and then we went to the backstage bar by walking accross the stage where I met Bonnie Langford and her charming daughter Biana Jay who is 13 and at Stage School.

On our way out we met Summer and Scarlett Strallen who Christine told me are Bonnie Langford's nieces, Summer had alternately painted tourquoise and white nails and matching jewellery, she told me turquoise is her favourite colour and reminds her of Summer which is her favourite season, aptly named then! Both girls are Musical Theatre performers too.

I had such a great time, I loved the show, it was great to spend time with Christine and meet her family and friends, I really enjoy meeting new people and I find the whole buzz of the Theatre very exciting!
