Cloudy day

This morning when I woke up it was pouring. I wasn't expecting rain and had planned on walking at the beach on the boardwalk. I checked the forecast on my weather app and it looked like things would clear up before noon. So I got myself ready and drove to my sister's house (she lives close to the beach) and we went over to Starbucks to have a coffee and some lunch hoping that by the time we finished the skies would clear.
The rain stopped and we went over to the boardwalk to get in a good walk. It was a little cool since the sun wasn't out but it felt great. I took this picture of the beach void of people now that summer is over. I liked the look of the cloudy sky over the water. After walking we sat on a bench and enjoyed the ocean breeze while we talked and cooled down.
