Bluebell Railway

We had a group outing to the Bluebell Railway for one of their "Steam and Cream" trips - i.e. having a cream tea whilst travelling on the train. 17 of us went and some of us had a picnic together before we went on the train. We even enjoyed a slice of birthday cake as one of the group had her birthday today and had brought the cake with her! (We saw a huge amount of smoke going up into the sky while we were having our picnic - it turned out that machinery at a local farm had caught fire. We heard at least three fire engines going there).

The weather was absolutely glorious - really hot and sunny and like a day in the middle of summer, which it certainly isn't now! We saw deer and pheasants, among other wildlife, from the train.
