Strange fruit

In the village today?, I parked in the bank car park whilst I went into the chemist/ newsagent.
In the back corner was and over the wall, was this tree with this strange fruit on it.

On closer inspection I discovered it was actually mid-shaped rose hips. Unusual to see all the fruit like this, as opposed to the odd one or two.
