Somawathi, 80 at #Weerawila clinic #Sri Lanka

IMPACT Sri Lanka’s ‘Wellness’ clinic in Weerawila, Hambantota is a vital source of primary healthcare for the surrounding community, providing screening and treatment for around 1,500 people every month.

Our Programme Manager, Lucinda, recently visited the clinic whilst on a family holiday and met 80 year old Somawathi who had come to get treatment for her arthritis after hearing about the clinic from relatives living nearby.

The clinic enables people like Somawathi to have long-term access to treatment, as well as provides a pharmacy where patients can get much needed medicines free of charge.
