Seats right up in the Amphitheatre, Lower Slips for the final dress rehearsal of "Il Barbiere di Siviglia".

Great view from overhead and the acoustics are to die for.

Rosina (Serena Malfi) is holding out her hand to welcome Sir Mark Elder (conductor) for the final curtain call.

I LOVE this opera. Figaro (Lucas Meachem) was magnificent, especially in his most famous part "Largo al Factotum".

My friend preferred "Anna Nicole" but I can assure you that they were both splendid :-)

A thoroughly good day out.

And I forgot to mention the Italian meatballs for lunch :-)
