Day 9 - Prague

A full day exploring Prague today. We started with the funicular up Petrin Hill (but didn't bother with the observation tower as the narrow steps were packed with people - my worst nightmare!). We stopped for a beer on the terrace with a great view of Prague away from the crowds. We then headed to the Strahov Monastery, where I had a look at the Library and Theological Hall (as seen in the blip). We had a picnic lunch on a bench underneath the monastery, again with lovely views of the city. The rest of the afternoon was spent strolling around the town. The evening brought thunder storms and heavy rain - a good time to be out on the Charles Bridge as there was barely anyone about! But I did get a bit damp taking photos :)
