Highcliffe Castle

Highcliffe Castle was open free of charge today as part of Dorset Architectural Heritage Week. The "castle" (it's not one really) has had a chequered past as a stately home, children's convalescent hospital, monastic training centre and English Heritage site. At one time it was owned by Gordon Selfridge (of London store fame).
