Coledale Cemetery

Drove from Wollongong to Sydney via the coast road, passing through the beautiful towns of Thirroul, Austinmer, Coledale, Scarborough.
The area is breathtakingly beautiful but no longer full of modest fibro and weatherboard miners' cottages.
Sydney has edged down the coast and the prices have risen correspondingly

I hate the way big chunks have been carved out of the escarpment to make way for largely ugly development.

Twenty five years ago a dear friend who died much too young was buried here and for the first time I visited her grave.

She's got a great view I think you'd agree.
