Birthday girl

It seems hard to believe that on this day, 26 years ago, my beautiful daughter was hauled into the world. Awkward little devil, she refused to be born the right way round, and so made her debut via an emergency Caesarian.

Ever since that long, exhausting night she has been a joy. Strong minded, opinionated, determined - just like her mother! - but also hard working and a delight to be with. Tonight we went out for dinner to celebrate her birthday. Here she is, aglow in orange, clowning around with her best mate.
