So far the September has been very very good! We have enjoyed warm and sunny weather.
Leevi had the first part of his matriculation examination today. It's the national final test in the end of the upper secondary school. Leevi takes the biology examination next week and he'll have the rest of the examinations next spring. Leevi was a bit disappointed how it went but I'm sure he managed just fine. He studied so hard and so long time for it.
There was an earthquake in Sweden today and there were a number of observations of the quake here in Pirkanmaa too. I didn't feel anything.
The University of Helsinki’s Institute of Seismology says that an earthquake occurred shortly after 4 pm in central Sweden, with a magnitude of 5.2 on the open-ended Richter scale. It says the temblor took place some 10 kilometers under the earth’s surface. The quake was strong enough to have caused minor damage. A quake of this size has apparently never taken place in Finland, and according to current models would be impossible here. Neighboring Sweden is more susceptible to seismological activity due to the Scandinavian mountain range. There are also several fault lines in southern Sweden.
+16° C, sunny
