Montluçon

The drive from Morzine across to the west coast would take about 9 hours- doable in a day but an overnight stop was a more welcome idea. So, a stay at the very pretty hotel Le Grenier de Sel* was a good decision. Dinner outside in the garden after a wander through the old town.

Montluçon is almost in the very centre of France. It is the proud host of the national Hurdy Gurdy museum. Sorry, dear Blipmate, but it was closed when I got there so can't give you a report.
