Upside Down
Adrenalin definitely got me through what was a very long but exciting day and it has taken me a long time to sort my photographs. I'll put some more in my Blipfolio as and when I feel up to it.
We queued for an hour and a half to get into Duxford from the M11 (up to 4 hours from other directions) but we parked within feet of the airfield and had a very good view of everything that was going on.
Our host, Squadron Leader Mike Ling, arrived by helicopter half an hour before his Red Arrows team left RAF Scampton in Lincolnshire and had time to find us and direct us to the pilots' arena under the conning tower before taking over the proceedings of the show for the main display of the afternoon, guiding the crowd through the Red Arrows every manoeuvre. Very impressive. Then he was off back to base in his helicopter, leaving his partner Nic to make her way home by road.
A fantastic day.
