thought I would use my 58mm manual lens today, a Voightlander Nokton f1.4 - I haven't used it in anger in at least a couple of years, predictable in more than half the shots I missed the focus point I was after i.e. the eyes ... manual focusing on moving objects, even if in my case someone standing in front of me hardly moving, is a skill I no longer possess, if I ever did - LOL - I cant imagine what it must have been like for sports photographers with long lenses following fast moving and unpredictable action like team games!
