Golf Links Lookout
This is the first proper hike I have been on since being crook and it was really good to get out there along the mountain walking trails. I have never shown you this exact location before. It's a relatively lonely track and without a walking buddy I have a rule not to go too far afield or out of mobile phone contact. In any event this place is called the "Golf Links Lookout".
I can't think why it's called that name. The nearest actual golf course is way back up the hill and a couple of kilometres distant. Anyway this place offers some nice general views of the greater Jamison Valley along with a couple of local valley branches, Mt Solitary and some gorgeous bushland.
Further on down I would eventually have come to the beautiful "Pool of Siloam", its surrounding fernery gorge and about the prettiest waterfall location in the Blue Mountains. I did blip it a couple of years ago but not in a fair while now. I shall collar a buddy, get down there and blip it soon. Anyone want to come for the jaunt?
