Enjoyable day spent in Brugge. I didn't know the whole history of the statue: Michelangelo sold it to a merchant from Brugge when the original client didn't pay. It was stolen by Napoléon, and during World War II by Hermann Göring. Now it is in the Gothic Church of Brugge, a very charming city.
