Late night London

Felt pretty rough today - sore, swollen glands - but got a bit better as the day went on. After cleaning the kitchen and going food shopping, I had lunch then did about 3 hours' work this afternoon. Good to get a couple of things cleared and know I won't have them hanging over me on Monday.

Jumped in the shower late afternoon, then cooked us a quick spag bol for our tea. After we'd had that, we set out in the car for Lancaster Gate (near Hyde Park), to go to our friend Mark's leaving drinks. He and his girlfriend Kristy are off to Australia later in the month, to live. Had a really good evening chatting to him and meeting some of their other friends. Finally left just before 11pm - it then took us nearly two hours to get home! We couldn't believe how much traffic there was everywhere at that time of night - nor how attrociously some people were driving. We did get to see a lot of sights on the way though.

Glad to finally get home just before 1am.
